- "They're flying Typhoons. Don't underestimate these guys."
- ― Larry Foulke

Typhoons were fielded as early as the Belkan War, with Rot Team being the most notable user.[1] Several other Belkan Air Force aces flew the aircraft. The Allied Forces also had their own units, participating in several battles. [2]
During the Skully Islands insurrection, which took place around the same time as the Belkan War, the Typhoon was operated by both the mercenary Scarface Squadron and by the Skully Islands insurrectionist forces, Juliette was a Typhoon pilot of Scarface Squadron which assisted Phoenix during the war.[3]
During the Usean coup d'état a Usean Rebel Forces ace known as Hangman was known to fly the Typhoon to defend the Usean Rebel Forces' naval forces.[4]
During the Continental War, the Typhoon were used by both Independent State Allied Forces and Federal Erusea Air Force. An Erusean ace Olmstead flown this type of aircraft during the liberation of San Salvacion[5]
During the Circum-Pacific War, the Typhoon were utilized by both Osean Air Defense Force and Yuktobanian Air Force alike.[6]
During the Emmeria-Estovakia War, both the Emmerian and Estovakian air forces were known to have made use of the Typhoon.[7] An Estovakian ace called Goran Rosandic, Callsign Rusalka, used a Typhoon with a unique scheme before being shot down by Garuda Team in the skies above San Loma.[8]
Typhoons were operated by both the Osea Air Defense Force and the Erusean Air Force during the Lighthouse War.[9], a notable pilot was Thibault Besson, Callsign Faucon, who both engaged and was shot down by Trigger over the Yinshi Valley during Operation Two Pairs.[10]
In 2020, the aircraft was utilized by both warring nations during the Aurelian War.[11] During the Aurelian War, Leasath had access to carrier-based variant of Typhoon.[12]
Joint Assault Universe[]

- "The latest, elite air supremacy fighter created through joint development between the four countries of England, Germany, Spain, and Italy. Offering high maneuverability, an excellent fire control system also allows it to excel at air combat against multiple targets. A combination of a close-coupled delta canard wing (front wing) and delta wings provide excellent aerodynamic capabilities, giving it agility most suited to the name, the "Typhoon"."

- "The Typhoon represents the leading edge of air superiority fighter technology. The close-coupled delta-canard configuration gives the aircraft its distinct design. Developed by an international consortium, the flexible design ensures that the Typhoon can be modified to answer the fighter needs of all nations involved. The Typhoon fuses maneuverability with precision providing the pilot with ease of control. Long-range missiles allow it to destroy multiple enemy aircraft while staying out of lock-on range. Trivia[]
- In recent naming conventions, the "EF-2000" moniker became somewhat obsolete as the aircraft was meant to enter service in the year 2000. An older designation was "EFA", which stood for European Fighter Aircraft. The final name "Typhoon" was chosen in the late 90's. The German Luftwaffe however, chose to continue to refer their aircraft as EF-2000 due to "Typhoon" apparently referring to Hawker Typhoon, a prop-driven fighter bomber commonly employed against Germany in World War 2.
- The Leasath Typhoons that take off from an aircraft carrier in Ace Combat Xi: Skies of Incursion reference real-life proposals to build such variants.[15]
- The "Knight" paint scheme in Ace Combat Zero: The Belkan War and the "Estovakia" scheme in Ace Combat 6: Fires of Liberation are based on Eurofighter Typhoon DA2 ZH558, a testbed aircraft operated by BAE Systems.
- The "Erusea" skin in Ace Combat 7: Skies Unknown is based on Eurofighter Typoon FGR.4 ZK349, which was painted in such a scheme in 2015 to match the markings of the Hawker Hurricane flown by Flight Lieutenant James Brindley Nicolson of No. 249 Squadron RAF, a pilot who won the Victoria Cross and the Distinguished Flying Cross.
