Belkannuclear

Three of the V1 Nuclear Explosions in the Waldreich Mountains

The V1 was an tactical nuclear weapon developed by Belka.

History

An implosion-type device, the V1 was developed by Belka at some point after the 1950s, serving as one of the foremost nuclear weapons of the country's nuclear stockpile during the Cold War.[1]

In June 6, 1995, seven V1s were detonated by the Belkan Army across the Waldreich Mountains to stave off the Allied Forces' advance, killing over 12,000 people and putting an end to hostilities. In June 20, the signing of the Treaty of Lumen forced the government of the newly formed Principality to bury Belka's remaining nuclear arsenal at the Yering Mine in Mount Schirm.[2]

Fifteen years later, the Gray Men began excavation efforts at the mine in order to extract weapons to use in the Circum-Pacific War, managing to remove at least three functional warheads before the mine was permanently sealed by the Razgriz Squadron with a landslide. One weapon was stashed onboard the Arkbird to be used in the Okchabursk plot; a second meant for Yuktobania was stolen and disarmed by the country's local resistance, while the third was used by Gründer Industries in an attempt to receive aid from pro-war supporters during the siege of their headquarters in Sudentor.[3]
