Valais (va-ley/ valet) Air Base is the final Ustio Air Base in service on their front line as of early 1995, built around the winterland region of the Tyrann Mountains of the Ustio. During peacetime, its main tasks were routine border patrol and airspace surveillance. Constructed among mountainous terrace, pilot landing at this base requires excellent skill and technology. Several hangars are established here, in peculiar topography following the mountain surface. Known as "Alert Hangar" during standby status, the design of the hangar helps pilots of immediate scramble to take off quickly. All the hangars are built really close to the runway. The Ustian Air Base is famous for the two mercenaries Cipher and Pixy of the 66th AFU Galm Team. The 4th AFU Crow Squadron is also based here. PJ was a former ace of the Crow Squadron who was transferred to the Galm Squadron by Valais Air Base officials.

In the beginning of the Belkan War, Belka began to attack Ustio. First the Belkan Air Force targeted the Valais Air Force Base for bombing. This would eliminate all Ustian rebellion squadrons pushing into Belka. About 5 Belkan Air Force bombers flew to the Air Base. Ustian planes were quickly sent out to intercept and destroy the enemy squadrons before they could reach the air base. Despite Belkan invasions on Ustio. This Air Base was never again attacked until Christmas Day. The XB-0 flew from the peace awards at Lumen, Belka to Ustio and into Steir, Belka. The air base was heavily damaged by the XB-0 and the Sapinish Espada Squadron.

As the War, Cipher flies back to the base and several months later, and disappeared. The air base's status after the Belkan War is unknown. Since Ustio remained neutral, and most likely was never invaded again. However, it is assumed it went back to usual routine border control.
