It wasn't until 2010 during the midst of the Circum-Pacific War that Stier Castle had once again seen conflict. Belkan Operatives had secretly captured Osean President Harling and held him within Stier Castle. When the Castle was raided by Air and Special Forces, the Belkan Military had attacked them, however the President was saved and one of Stier's Main Walls was destroyed by Air Strikes.

The geography of this area is a large, flat valley floor surrounded by the Waldreich Mountain Range. The is evidence of glaciation in this area. The very mound that Steir Castle stands is an old and short drumlin, a hill that has been stretched out by glaciation. The large lake in front of the castle was probably made by the same glacier that reshaped this region. The Waldreichs act as the "Northern Gate", which seperated North and South Belka in 1995 and later seperated the Principality of Belkan from the rest of the Northern-Osean Continent. Just behind the Waldreich Mountains is the Belkan Industrial City of Sudentor. The the far east, the Waldreich Mountains flatten in Gebet/Recta.

The Waldreich Mountains had become the prime site for the Grunder Industries experimental weapons facility, in South Belka/North Osea. They Grey Men, using this 'disguise' began to build an under ground passage from South Belka to the Principality of Belka, in order to reunite the two Belkas. However, this plan was uncovered and the facility was attacked by combined forces from Yuktobania and Osea. Grunder Industries attempted to use the SOLG to fire from space and supress any enemy forces coming near them, but the facility was infiltrated by the "Ghosts of the Demons of Razgriz" and the SOLG control system, along with the facility was destroyed from within.
