The Republic of Wielvakia is a country in Southeast Osea. It shares borders with Fato to the north, Gebet to the northwest, Recta to the west and Ratio to the southwest. It is a neutral country, and has remained so for many years. Wielvakia is currently governed by President Milik Vařeka.

Culture

Wielvakia has a close resemblance to the Czech Republic, insofar as it's government is a Parliamentary democracy, also, the language spoken is Czech in character. The head of state in Wielvakia is a president. Wielvakia's ethnicity is mainly Caucasian.

FATO Nation (1987-1994)

Coming soon

Operation Bloodhound (1995)

During the Belkan War of 1995, the Belkans had initially intended to expand their area of operations far east of the Osean Contient. Among the few nations situated there was Wielvakia. However, the invasion plan, codenamed: Bloodhound was not conducted, but the Belkans did take the effort in launching a series of strikes against the nations of Gebet, Recta and Fato. Belka had began planning the invasion of Wielvakia on 27th April, 1995, just after their success in invading and occupying territory from all surrounding nations. Bloodhound was the fourth of several detailed plans drawn up for the Belkan General Staff, after their success in the initial invasion of the Osean Contient. The Belkan government never gave the go-ahead, for reasons that are still uncertain today.

Climate

Wielvakia possesses a really cold climate, with lots of snow, particularly on high grounds.

More information will be added soon.

Military

The Wielvakian Military consists of the Army, Navy and Air Force. They are composed of conscripts: professional soldiers constitute only about 5 percent of the military personnel, and all the rest are conscripted citizens aged from 20 to 34 (in special cases up to 50) years. Considering Wielvakia's neutrality, the sole purpose of the military is to provide the nation self-defence from any outside threat. Wielvakia usually purchases military hardware from it's long term trading partner, the Osean Federation.

Trivia

  • Wielvakia appears as an allegory to Switzerland and the Czech Republic in real life.
  • The Wielvakian Armed Forces is an allegory to the Swiss Armed Forces. Both militaries have national service, and are used as a deterrent from any outside threat.
  • Operation Bloodhound was Belka's plan to invade Wielvakia. This is a reference to Operation Tannenbaum, the supposed invasion of Switzerland by Nazi Germany during WWll.
