The Union of Yuktobanian Republics (Russian: Союз Юктобанийских Республик; Soyuz Yuktobania Respublik; abbreviation "СЮР", "SYR"), also known as Yuktobania, is the largest country of the Verusean continent and a superpower along with the Osean Federation.

Notable Places

• Bastok Peninsula - Landing point of a massive Osean offensive into Yuktobania.
• Cinigrad - The Yuktobanian capital city. Urban fighting broke out here in the Circum-Pacific War, but it was never conquered.
• Cruik Fortress - nicknamed "the Colosseum" for its round shape, it is the last stronghold guarding Cinigrad.
• Dresdene - mountainous area full of villages and tourist attractions, an engineering university is also present there. During the Circum-Pacific War, the university is attacked by the Grabacr Squadron, which sparked retaliation attacks in Osea.
• Jilachi Desert - a desert surrounded by mountain ranges and farmland. Oilfields are abundant.
• Okchabursk - a major city. It was targeted for a nuclear strike from the Arkbird, piloted by Belkans.
• Glubina - A hilly tundra in Central east Yuktobania. During the war, Yuktobania commissioned an internment camp in one of the valleys of Glubina, but was raided by a Marine force added by the air support of Wardog Squadron. However, Kei Nagase was forced to bail out over Glubina, and a rescue team had to come in the next day, defended by the Wardogs once again.
• Payavlenie Ravine - a series of ravines in Northern Yuktobania, mining activities are present. A resistance group stole a nuclear warhead from the military and dismantled it here.

Political Structure

The Yuktobanian head of government is the prime minister. Seryozha Viktrovich Nikanor serves as the current incubent of Prime Minister of Yuktobania before and after the Yukto-Osean Conflict (Circum-Pacific War), but he was kidnapped by Belkan factions shortly before the war. Like in the U.S.S.R., the Yuktobanian military has a tremendous power upon the country (especially inside the Politburo). Since Yuktobania' s official name is "Union of Yuktobanian Republics", it is likely that Yuktobania is actually several nations mashed together, Just like the USSR.

Trivia

• Yuktobania appears as an allegory to the Soviet Union in real life. Even the time lapse in which it was a Socialist Republic (1918-1996) is close to the actual USSR's lifespan (1917-1991)
• The Varyag Special Forces unit may be a reference to the Cossacks. Like the Cossacks, the Varangians (Варяги in Russian) are an ethnic group. Many were pirates and mercenaries. The Cossacks were an ethnic group, and an elite military unit until the Russian Revolution. The Varyag is also the name of a Soviet Aircraft Carrier and Cruiser. And also it is old-Slavic name for Swedish-Viking tribes, which conquered parts of western Russia during 9th century.
• The attacks of the civilians at Dresdene in AC5 is linked to the WWII Dresden bombing raid.
• The rebellion of the Krivak Class Frigate Pitomnik is similar to the rebellion of the Russian battleship Potemkin.
• The Belkan War seems to be an allegory of World War II where the Americans (Osea) and the Soviets (Yuktobania) fight and defeat the Germans (Belkans) together.
• The deer in the Yuktobanian flag like a deer figure once stood on the hood of Soviet cars GAZ-21 Volga. The deer are also depicted on the coat of arms of the Russian city Nizhny Novgorod where cars of GAZ brand were manufactured.
• It is known, thanks to World News of the World News, that during 1991 the head of state was the Prime Minister Samonov.
