"Being a nobody, in the dark, is what you're here for.[1]"
Simon O. Cohen

Zero Gravity is the 41st mission of the original version of Ace Combat 3: Electrosphere, and is one of two possible 2nd missions of the Neucom (I) story arc, depending on the Player's actions in Power for Life.

Mission Story[]

"Neucom's space shuttle had returned safely with the results of their space experiments. These results would be used in arms development, to make their armaments superior to those of General Resource. Meanwhile, they discovered military satellites which probably belonged to General Resource. The officials of Neucom regarded them as a threat, and put the Player on a special mission. He would be ordered to go into outer space and destroy the satellites.[1]"
Ace Combat 3: Electrosphere - Namco Official Guide Book

Briefing[]

Unidentified satellites detected.
We believe them
to belong to General Resource.
Board our rocket, escape atmosphere,
and destroy the satellites in orbit.
If they're
important to General Resource, hostilities will be inevitable.
We wish you luck.[1]

Aircraft Selection[]

R-352 Sepia

Objectives[]

The mission's primary targets are four General Resource satellites. No other hostiles are present.

The player has 3 minutes to fly to and destroy the four satellites using a R-352 Sepia. If the player does not destroy the satellites within 3 minutes, the craft will be vaporized by a satellite's laser, and the mission will fail.

After the satellites are destroyed, the player is awarded Mission Accomplished, and must then correctly position the craft for atmospheric re-entry.

Enemy List[]

Unit Count Notes
SATELLITE 4

A Rank[]

An A Rank is obtained in this mission by destroying all four satellites within 2 minutes and 30 seconds.

Debriefing[]

Thanks to you, the mission was a success.
With the OSLs destroyed,
we have gained the upper hand on the space front.[1]

Trivia[]

  • The events of the mission are some of the only in Ace Combat 3: Electrosphere to be depicted from two different perspectives. In the General Resource arc mission "Technology Transfer", Nemo is instead part of the GR force trying to prevent the R-352's launch.
  • This is one of the few missions where the use of the Orbital Satellite Laser as a weapon is prohibited.
