- ‘A multirole light fighter that is used by a total of five countries, including the Swedish Air Force. It is known for its small size, short takeoff capabilities and capacity to carry a variety of weapons. This allows it to launch from a runway and a hangar basically cut out of the mountains, with its light maneuverability allowing it to complete a variety of missions. As an aircraft capable of switching roles during flight, it also has the name "JAS-39C", taking abbreviations from Jakt (air-to-air), Attack (air-to-ground), and Spaning (reconnaissance).’
